Recreate the Look: Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum has been lacking a bit in the style department lately, but she totally redeemed herself with this fabulous look she wore recently!

Vacation Essentials

In July, I will be jetting off to Italy (SO excited!) and over the past couple of months I have compiled a list of the things I will need that I thought I would share. What are your vacation essentials?
Luggage: My lack of good luggage really is a sad testament to how little I travel, but at least it gives me an excuse to buy some gorgeous DvF luggage! {DvF Luggage}

Sneakers: Okay so I already have sneakers..... buuuut they aren't nearly as cute as these! (which totally justifies the purchase, right?!) {Lauren Ralph Lauren Sneakers}

Dress: This dress is perfect for transitioning from day to night! {H&M Dress}

Crossbody Bag: Crossbody bags are a must for easy traveling! {Fossil Bag}

Camera: I've been needing a new camera for a while, and this is the perfect time. I probably won't be spending $500, but it's nice to dream... {Nikon Camera}

Sunscreen: Last, but not least, sunscreen is super important for keeping your skin healthy! {Neutrogena Sunscreen}

Ultimate Prom Guide.. not really

So I'm kind of the worst blogger ever, and I seriously do not know how all you other bloggers out there manage school, a job, and a social life! I definitely don't have the time to put together picture collages for all of the prom dress categories, but I did gather a bunch up at one point, and I feel like it would be a waste not to share. So here are some of my favorites from each category and the links to all the dresses I found. Hopefully next year I can fully finish this prom guide (and do it earlier)!

Ultimate Prom Guide: Simple Dresses

This one's for all the gals out there who just want simple, easy dresses.

Wanted: Cute Jackets

You know what I've realized? I am really good at finding things to spend money on. Current obsession: jackets.

Also currently obsessing over: Kate Middleton. Which might be playing into my coat obsession. I mean seriously, how chic does she look here?

In other news, I used the word "obsessed" three four times in this post, and spelled it wrong every time.

Ultimate Prom Guide!

So while I was at the mall this weekend, everything was about prom, prom, prom and I thought, "Hey wouldn't it be fun to do a prom dress shopping guide?!" Shopping for a prom dress is one of the funnest (most fun?) things to do and I am so excited to create a really thorough shopping guide! Here are some of the categories I think I'm going to do:

Simple
Unique
Princessy
Long/Short
Sweet
Fun
Funky/Edgy
Dream Dresses
And probably posts on shoes and accessories.

Any other suggestions? :)

Brighten Your Day

After the teaser of gorgeous weather last week, all I have been able to think about lately is spring. If winter weather has returned to you, like it did to me, I hope these bright, fun colors will brighten your day! :)

1. Gold Leaf Bracelet: Lulu's Seriously, how gorgeous is this bracelet? I am in love with it!
2. Clemence Posey via onions + garlic Clemence Posey is so pretty and her French style is impeccable!
3. Floral Dress: Forever 21 My list of pretty summer dresses that I want is getting longer and longer...
4. Buckled Crossbody Bag: Forever 21 via Cupcakes and Cashmere This is like a cheap version of Kate Spade's Scout Crossbody. I need it now.

Fearless Fridays: Feathers

When I first saw Ariana's giant feather on Pretty Little Liars (guilty pleasure- don't judge!), I was a bit apprehensive, but I must admit, the trend has been growing on me.

While I don't think I could go all-out like the above pictures, I think these more subdued options could work:

Trendy Tuesdays: White

White is back in a big way, and I couldn't be more excited! It love how it can easily go from sharp and chic to sweet and summery. Dolce and Gabbana's Spring 2011 collection has been everywhere lately; this dress alone was worn by like a million different people! Another one of their dresses has been on three different covers. Talk about good PR!

2. Vogue Paris cover via Fashionista

Trends: The 70s

One of the biggest trends for spring this year is the 70s! I love the look of flattering wide-legged jeans and a loose, flowy top. I'm not really sure if this is really the "70s look" (I wasn't even alive then), but this is my interpretation of it. First the inspiration:

1. Michael Kors Fall 2011- Loved his entire collection- so luxe and  uptown, while still maintaining that laid-back, all-American look he's famous for.
2. Tory Burch Fall 2011- This to me was the biggest example of the 70s style on the runway.
3. Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 RTW- This collection was to die for. A little over the top, as per Marc Jacobs, but so much fun!
4. January Jones- Love the way she interpreted the 70s into a modern day look!
5. Halston Fall 2011 RTW- Mustard yellow is my fave- glad to see it isn't going anywhere! :)
6. Old 70's Photograph- I thought this picture was really cool, and a more realistic depiction of the 70s style.

A few affordable options:
